The climate on Koh Phangan is warm year round and so is the ocean, which is a comfortable eighty five degrees. The marine environment boasts offshore coral reefs and a large array of aquatic species, Koh Phangan is a great place to snorkel as the sea is often crystal
Through the interior of Phangan are coconut plantations on the flat lying land, the mountainous parts of Koh Phangan contain activities and sights such as jungle paths, natural streams and famed waterfalls. Buffalos graze the pastures and wild deer can be sighted, the island is also home to a small community of monkeys and some rather large lizards all of which are harmless.
The west side of Koh Phangan is where Thaan Sadet National Park is located, an area of exceptional natural beauty. The beach and surrounding streams and waterfalls have been explored by several Thai Kings who left markings and the area is considered a very special place on Koh Phangan. Both Thaan Sadet and Thong Naay Paan to the north hold breathtaking costal and jungle scenery, even for Koh Phangan’s standards.
