Just a few minutes walk from Haad Yow or Long Beach the location is ideal, providing a cool hillside breeze at night while retaining quick access to one of Koh Phangans best beaches. The Thai style wooded bungalows are perched up on stilts and come in single, twin, double, family and suite accommodation types all with panoramic sea views. The bungalows are fitted with fans, air conditioning is not necessary with the hillside breeze and all the accommodation has ensuite bathrooms with hot showers.
The common areas include a DVD lounge, ping pong table and plenty of card and board games for those lazy days on Koh Phangan. Motorbikes are available for rent to explore the many sights and places of interest on Koh Phangan, driving is relatively safer on Koh Phangan than Koh Samui as there is far less traffic on this island.
Around the swimming pool sun beds blend in with young palm trees giving privacy and some welcome shade from the hot sun. The Tantawan restaurant is well known through out Koh Phangan for its superb culinary dishes with an emphasis on French cuisine. Many dishes are unique to Koh Phangan and the wine cellar and cocktail bar are both well stocked. Seating comes in a traditional floor style setting and a few private tables poolside are available. The restaurant is open all day serving an authentic American breakfast and western bites during the day, last orders are taken at 10pm.
To travel to Tantawan Bungalow from Thong Sala take either the coastal road or inland Koh Phangan ring road to Seethanu. From this village carry on past the lake and through Aow ChaoPhao, up a huge hill then down a even bigger hill before sighting Haad Son Mini Mart, next door to which Tantawan is located.
