tesco lotus superstore...
The newly arrived Tesco Lotus department store was built in mid 2008 and opened later in the year, it is a smaller talad (market) store type. This is great news for people renting villas on Koh Phangan as there is ample car parking space to perk the rental jeep and the prices are all marked up.
The format is simular to the european layout there are some slight differences in the concept but essentially its the same but with products aimend prodominatly aimed at the Thai market.
There is large seletion of fresh fruit and veg, a small bakery, dairy products and a well stocked meat counter. The have pre packaged meat in sealed polythene palettes as well as full rib racks at the counter. They stock a wide varity of household items and toiletaries. Opening hours are 9 oclock in the moring untill 9 oclock at night.
